FAQ

 Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you give the tour?

At this time we are giving the tour on Saturdays and Sundays, and we add special dates on holidays. However, we do plan to add other hours in the near future and we are always happy to arrange for private tours. Feel free to inquire by contacting us here.

What time do you meet and where?

For the City Center free tour: we meet at 10:00 AM every Saturday and Sunday morning rain or shine. (unless it is hailing, then we stay at home with our slippers on!) We meet at Maipú and Urquiza on the steps of the old Customs House.

For the Pichincha Neighborhood free tour: we meet every Saturday and Sunday afternoon rain or shine. We meet at the corner of Bv. Oroño and Rivadavia, always look for the orange T-shirts.

At 05:00 PM from April to September

At 06:00 PM from October to March

Do I need to make a reservation?

Due to the nature of public health and safety, in the time of COVID-19, reservations are necessary for the tours. Book your tour here and then turn up at the meeting point early and the guide will be ready to lead a tour.

What will we see on the tour?

As for landmarks, Rosario has a few. But landmarks aren’t the key point of interest in our tour. The golden nuggets are the fun facts you will learn all long the trail. Yes, of course, we visit the Flag Monument in our City Centre Free Tour. But we try to avoid any history you might find on Wikipedia. For this reason we have sought out and researched anecdotes that even most Rosarinos wouldn’t know.

Is it really free?

Yes. Free in that you are at liberty to give what you think we deserve or your budget can afford. We give this tour on a volunteer basis as a way of enriching the tourist industry in Rosario while simultaneously preserving the stories that history would otherwise swallow up. So yes, it is free, but we would be extremely grateful for your donations.

How much do people normally tip?

Donations typically range from USD 5 to USD 20 per person. Let me put it into perspective for you. If you liked the tour and you had a good time, it would roughly be like saying, “Hey man, let me buy you a drink.” Bam! $2000 pesos.
